Nautical Supplies are a long established marine chandlery, specialist supplier and service center established in Darwin back in 1978. In 2022 we opened our 2nd branch in Portsmith, Cairns. We are now ready to employee another team member.

  • Full time employment opportunity at our new branch in Cairns
  • The job primarily involves periodic servicing and certification on Liferafts, Lifejackets and Rescue Boats
  • The job requires a team player that is willing to also assist with warehousing and counter sales duties.

Sales Representative

Darwin NT

Nautical Supplies is a industry leading supplier of Marine Goods and Services, with branches in Darwin and Cairns.

Established in 1978, we stock a diverse range of goods ranging from traditional Chandlery items to specialised Safety equipment, hardware and Electronics. We provide support to all sectors of the marine Industry including Leisure, Shipping, Pearling, Fishing, Defence, oil & Gas.

This Sales role will support our key product lines and our Electronics, Safety, Sails and Rigging service departments.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service face to face, over the phone and via email. Determining customers requirements including product purpose and time frames. Providing product specifications, completing quotations and invoicing.

Qualifications

Preferably Marine Sales or other relevant industry experience. Previous technical role or spare parts interpretation is desired. Computer skills including email, MYOB or other inventory software experience. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Training

On the job training and team support is provided. Key suppliers also provide product training opportunities.

Hours and benefits

Our store is open Monday to Friday from 0800-1630. We can discuss a flexible work arrangement if required.

Nautical Supplies provides 10 Well Being Days per annum to Full time employees in addition to 20 recreation leave days and personal leave entitlements.
